Users access SaaS software through a web browser or a small standalone application. SaaS vendors supply and maintain the products, either on a subscription basis or on a pay-for-what-you-use basis. The vendor makes sure that the product/service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year and customers just access and use the software. SaaS benefits: Lower implementation costs - as the vendor provides and runs the service, both its software and hardware parts, the up-front implementation costs are low.
